In bass fishing, retrieval speed can make the difference between having a full livewell and getting skunked. Something that people don’t realize is the impact that the wind and current have on your retrieval speed. When your lure is swimming with the current, the current will cause your lure to move a lot faster than you think and when your lure is swimming against the current, the current will cause you lure to move a lot slower than you think. When trying to maintain a certain retrieval speed keep this in mind and you will be able to get more bass to bite!
