When finesse fishing watching your line is just as important, if not more important, than feeling it. This is because when fishing soft plastics bass bites tend to be extremely subtle and can be very hard to detect, so if you are just focusing on feeling the bite instead of watching your line you could be missing out on a lot of big bass. I recommend always watching your line and if you see your line suddenly jump or see it start to move in a different direction than the current set the hook immediately. By combining your sense of sight with your sense of feel you will be able to detect more bites and hook into more bass.
