Over the years, I have learned to become quite proficient at fishing docks and have developed a general rule to help you make the most out of your time on the water. It is best to fish the shady side of docks when it is sunny, midday, and the water is warm. On the contrary, you should fish the sunny side of docks during the morning, evening, when the water is cold, and when it is cloudy out. This rule will help to eliminate extra casts and will save you more time to fish the productive sides of docks.
