Drop shots and jigs are extremely popular in bass fishing because of their versatility and their bass catching ability. They are both great when fished individually, but they also make a killer combo. In order to do this, all you have to do is tie a normal drop shot rig, but instead of putting a weight on the bottom, you replace it with a jig of your choice. You can then fish it just like you would a drop shot because the subtle twitches will also translate to your jig and cause it to hop along the bottom. This will help you cover more of the water column at one time and will greatly increase your odds of hooking into a bass.
