When fishing docks, it is crucial that you are super aggressive with your casts and try to get your lure as close to the dock as possible. This is especially true during this time of the year when the bass are holding tight to cover. Now, this may seem like an obvious tip, but I have seen many people that are afraid of their lure landing on someone’s dock. This fear needs to be overcome if you are to become an effective bass fisherman because landing your lure on someone’s dock is not a bad thing. It not only tells you that you are being aggressive enough with your casts, but also increases your chances to catch fish, as after your lure comes off the dock it will make a smaller splash and not spook the fish as much.
