Getting snagged is one of the most frustrating things in bass fishing, but when you get snagged it is important never to keep yanking your rod up and down trying to get it free. One thing I see way too often is people getting snagged and then yanking up on their rod as hard as they can and having their rod snap. Next time you get snagged, just point your rod tip straight at the spot it is snagged and pull straight back. This will either free your lure or snap your line, both of which ensure you don’t snap your expensive pole.
