One of the most overlooked pieces of structure in bass fishing is the buoy. Buoys are great spots to catch bass because they attract fish from all different parts of the food chain. The chains that anchor buoys are often home to algae, plankton, and other primary producers. This, in turn, attracts schools of baitfish that rely on algae and plankton as their main source of food. Bass and other predatory fish can then target these buoys when looking for a meal, making buoys a prime spot to catch feeding bass.
