When fishing with a partner, one rule that I like to follow is to not have two people fishing the exact same bait at one time. This is because there is always a better bait out there and it is important to experiment while out on the water, so that you can find this bait. I like to have one person fishing a finesse bait such as a drop shot or a jig and the other person fishing a fast moving bait such as a crankbait or a spinnerbait. This strategy allows one person to pick off the aggressive fish, while the other can entice the more finicky fish to bite.
