As summer comes to a close and the water temperatures begin to drop, the bass will begin to move back towards the shallows and start to stock up for the coming winter months. They will be loading up on baitfish and will be more likely to chase a moving bait, so fast moving baitfish imitators can be a great choice. Some of my favorite baits to fish at this time of the year are square-bill crankbaits, swimbaits, and lipless crankbaits.
