As we learned from last week’s tip, this time of the year is a great time to be fishing crawfish imitators, but that still leaves us with the question of what color and size we should be using. Of course, there are some general rules, but the best way to determine this is to set your own crawfish traps. All you have to do is buy a trap, set it near some rocks the day before you go fishing (boat launches are usually pretty good spots to set them), leave it overnight, and then come back the next morning and pick it up before you launch your boat. This will tell you exactly which color and size that you should be using and will help you to put tons of bass in the boat.
