During the winter, you will most likely not be fishing as often and this can cause your line to build up a lot of memory. This can cause the line to become extremely unmanageable and can cause you a lot of problems if you don’t switch your line out. Along with this, the cold weather will weaken the strength of your line and greatly decrease its performance. In order to avoid these problems, I suggest that you switch out your fishing line on your reels before you go fishing in the spring.
