After catching a bass it is always good to put it in your live well and wait until you leave before you release them. When the bass are in the live well, they will cough up whatever is in their stomach, including what they have been feeding on for the past few days. You can then use this knowledge to see what color, shape, and forage type that you should be trying to imitate.
