When you are fishing in windy conditions, there is also a lot of current. When you have current it is crucial to cast against the current and the wind, so that when you are reeling your lure back, it is swimming in with the current. This makes a big difference because bass almost always position themselves so that they are facing the way that the current is coming from. This is because wounded fish that can’t swim well will be swept up by the current and carried with it. By swimming your lure with the current, you can imitate these wounded fish and put the bait in front of the bass instead of running it up behind them.
